"The purpose of Rosary Altar Society shall be to foster in its members an ardent devotion, reverence and love toward our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. This is to be done through devotion to His Blessed Mother under the title of the Rosary.
The object of Rosary Altar Society shall be to provide and care for the altar."
It is time for our annual quilt raffle! This year, we are raffling off a beautiful Texas Star patterned quilt in shades of blue, red, and cream. It is 100 inches by 100 inches - big enough to cover a queen or king-size bed.
We are asking each Rosary Altar Society member to sell or purchase at least 5 tickets. They are $1 each. The drawing for the quilt will be held on October 13, 2024, after the drawings for the Roast Beef Dinner tickets. We are also raffling off a quilted wall hanging and a quilted table runner.
Please place the ticket stubs and money in the envelope provided with all unsold tickets and place either in the collection basket at the church.
Due to new state law, all unsold tickets have to be returned to us. Please make check out to St. Elizabeth Rosary Altar Society if you pay by check.
If you need additional tickets or have any questions, please call nancy Schlanderer. We are hoping for. very successful raffle again this year!
The St. Elizabeth/St. Dominic Rosary Altar Society (RAS) provides for the care of our altar by raising funds through their annual Mom2Mom Sale, Bazaar quilt raffle, and silent auction. With these funds, RAS provides altar wine, hosts, candles, linens, altar server garments, purificators, and baptismal collars, and provides laundry service for our altar linens. Additionally, RAS makes donations to the Care Pregnancy Center, Catherine Cobb women’s shelter, St. Elizabeth/St. Dominic Helping Hands, and the Knights of Columbus. RAS currently sponsors a child in the Dominican Republic through Unbound, an organization devoted to aiding the vulnerable and marginalized across the globe. Recently, RAS has sponsored three young women from our parish to go on retreat. Finally, at Christmas time, RAS brings in gifts for teens and sponsors a family through the Tecumseh Service Club.
