This year at VBS, your child is invited to Passport to Peace!
Passport to Peace is a Vacation Bible School (VBS) curriculum designed to help children make peace a way of life. Peacemaking skills are essential for those who want to follow Jesus’ way of peace. The Catholic Church has more than one billion members in the world from all different walks of life, cultures, and countries. We are challenged to continue learning and practicing our peacemaking skills, especially as our society becomes more polarized and we come into contact with more people who many not always think or act like us. Your child will learn that the love of God and the way of peace transcend all borders and divisions. Led by God’s Spirit, we can all participate in creating a more peaceful world.
Your child will make new friends, sing fun songs, watch dramatic presentations of the Bible stories, play active games, do art projects and science explorations, and dig into the Bible. Passport to Peace will help children learn ways to create inner peace, use peacemaking strategies at home, school, and in the community, and practice strategies for conflict resolution.
