Welcome to St Elizabeth of Tecumseh, and St Dominic of Clinton

Each summer, members of St. Elizabeth in Tecumseh and St. Alphonsus in Deerfield join forces to assist migrants in the Witt Farms camp near Deerfield. Situated off Stearns Road, the Witt Farms camp draws workers from Texas and points south. Children accompany their parents to the camp and have opportunities to participate in educational programs such as Head Start and Vacation Bible School. These families have little in the way of personal possessions and depend on the kindness and generosity of our parishes each year. Volunteers are asked to commit to four hours twice a month. Volunteers are needed to transport children to Vacation Bible School at St. Alphonsus, babysit children while their parents attend Mass, and cook and serve a meal for families. Welcome Baskets containing toiletries, personal care items, linens and other necessary non-food items are prepared for each family and single person living in the camp.
